Job Title: Applications Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Applications Engineer to join our team at Hydro International. As an Applications Engineer, you will be responsible for providing engineering services for proposals, price quotations, formal bids, and technical specifications of our products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handling product inquiries from clients, direct sales staff, and independent sales representatives.
  • Selecting, sizing, and designing equipment and equipment systems to meet client needs.
  • Preparing proposals, price quotations, and technical specifications for our CSO and Wastewater products.
  • Reviewing contract documents and preparing Scopes of Supply and bid pricing for general contractors, municipalities, direct sales staff, and independent sales representatives.
  • Facilitating project handover between departments.
  • Preparing AutoCAD/Inventor drawings, including 2D and 3D general arrangement drawings for proposals and 2D and 3D detailed arrangement/layout drawings for final proposals and specifications.
  • Providing engineering services for detailed design and specification/drawing review, working closely with specifying engineers, installation contractors, and customers to ensure their needs are clearly identified and satisfied.
  • Working with equipment fabricators and vendors to update system costs.
  • Attending training sessions, seminars, exhibitions, and conferences as required by the Company.
  • Assisting with general office duties as and when required.
  • Applying the requirements of the BS EN ISO 9001 14001 as appropriate within your area of responsibility.
  • Being responsible for the Health and Safety and Environmental aspects affecting yourself, employees, and projects in your control.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, civil, chemical, environmental engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • Practical working knowledge of engineering principles and the needs of the water industry and its customers.
  • General MS Office Programs knowledge.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Inventor, or equivalent related software or similar 3-D packages.
  • Knowledge of CRM and ERP database software preferred.
