Job Summary:

This is a full-time night shift position responsible for completing CNC setup, machining of parts posted to their machines. The successful candidate will be responsible for building, assembling, and disassembling inspection fixtures due to the attributes of the machines they operate. Additionally, they will work with larger parts run on universal jig bars and primarily use a back-side set up and a front-side set up. The Tool Builder will also be responsible for completing all fitting, assembly, and finish work after CAD and CNC work is complete and before a tool ships.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Follow set-up sheets posted to running man, setup and operate Haas CNC mill, checking fixture (gauges) manufacture and assembly, inspection of Kanban parts, pins, small parts, checking vents
  • Safely and efficiently load and unload billet, stock, and finished parts on and off mills, chip removal as required, check and add coolant
  • Daily rinse mills and weekly clean chip catcher in coolant tray
  • Completion of in-process quality checks (including visual checks) as required
  • Continuously improve processes with CAD through the use of engineering feedback loop
