Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mammography Assistant to join our team at Providence Swedish. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our mammography services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily patient care activities with the mammography technologist to maintain a seamless process.
  • Meet and greet patients in a professional and friendly manner, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Assist patients with paperwork and registration, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks.
  • Coordinate the flow of patients between the intake area and mammography room, ensuring efficient use of time and resources.
  • Assist patients in setting up follow-up or diagnostic appointments, providing clear and concise information.
  • During downtime, assist with support functions such as filing, scheduling, and registering patients in the Comprehensive Breast Center.
  • Makes confirmation calls for future appointments, ensuring patients are informed and prepared.
Requirements
  • Driving may be necessary as part of this role, and caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving.
  • 6 months of related experience in a medical imaging department and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • General experience regarding medical office paperwork, including billing, coding, and medical terminology.
