Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mammography Assistant to join our team at Swedish First Hill. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our mammography services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily patient care activities with mammography technologists to maintain a seamless process.
  • Meet and greet patients in a professional and friendly manner, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Assist patients with paperwork and registration, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks.
  • Coordinate the flow of patients between intake areas and mammography rooms, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Assist patients in setting up follow-up or diagnostic appointments, providing clear and concise instructions.
  • During downtime, assist in the Comprehensive Breast Center with support functions such as filing, scheduling, and registering patients.
  • Make confirmation calls for future appointments, ensuring patients are informed and prepared.
Requirements
  • 6 months of related experience in a medical imaging department and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Coursework or certification in Medical Office Assistant, Medical Secretary, or Health Unit Coordinator is preferred.
  • General experience with medical office paperwork, including billing, coding, and medical terminology, is a plus.
