Job Title: Provider Coordinator

The GoHealth Provider Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth onboarding process for new healthcare providers while fostering strong relationships with providers, GoHealth leadership, and hospital system collaborators to guarantee an exceptional integration experience. Key responsibilities include assisting with candidate interviews, managing a comprehensive onboarding process, and optimizing provider schedules. The Provider Coordinator collaborates with the Medical Director, Market President, clinical leadership, talent acquisition, and other stakeholders to enhance the provider credentialing, onboarding, and retention processes.

Job Requirements:

Education
  • High School Diploma required
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
Work Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare required.
  • Previous experience as a provider liaison or in medical sales preferred.
Essential Functions:

Interview Coordination:
  • Engages in the interview process, collaborating with provider talent acquisition to ensure a well-organized interview day, coordinating center visits, providing candidate feedback, and sharing insights with relevant parties.
  • Works closely with provider talent acquisition and the medical director to guarantee an outstanding interview experience for candidates.
  • Assists with partner interview activities as necessary.
Credentialing:
  • Guides new providers through the credentialing process and assists existing providers with re-credentialing. Acts as a liaison between hospital credentialing, provider talent acquisition, GoHealth administrators, and new providers.
  • Collects essential documentation from new providers for credentialing with hospital systems and insurance providers.
  • Monitors timelines and communicates any issues to all involved parties.
  • Coordinates supervisory agreements for physicians and advanced practitioners.
Onboarding:
  • Welcomes newly hired providers to GoHealth and announces new team members to the provider group.
  • Coordinates and communicates orientation details and dates; initiates contact with new providers and offers support throughout the onboarding journey.
  • Facilitates system setup (e.g., payroll, scheduling, medical records) in collaboration with GoHealth and hospital system partners.
  • Develops and manages programs, tools, and strategies to ensure a seamless onboarding experience and rapid acclimatization to GoHealth based on feedback from new hires and stakeholders.
Orientation:
  • Leads all orientation activities, including training schedules and communication with providers.
  • Ensures providers feel welcomed by introducing them to team members.
  • Participates in orientation and training activities as time permits.
  • Supports the Learning & Development team during orientation activities as needed.
  • Assists new providers in familiarizing themselves with various systems (e.g., payroll, scheduling, medical records).
Scheduling & Payroll:
  • Manages and optimizes provider schedules based on preferences and center coverage requirements.
  • Maintains daily provider schedules.
  • Ensures accuracy of provider payroll information and collaborates with the payroll team to resolve any issues.
Administrative Support:
  • Addresses provider administrative needs such as expense reporting, supply orders, processing time-off requests, etc.
  • Maintains provider licensing records.
  • Requests and processes changes in provider status.
  • Assists the medical director with communications.
  • Supports clinical quality and coding audits as required.
Process Improvement:
  • Collaborates with counterparts in other markets.
  • Seeks feedback from providers, recruiters, hospital credentialing representatives, and other key stakeholders on processes and acts on that feedback.
  • Redesigns inefficient steps within processes under their control.
  • Stays informed on national trends related to provider onboarding and integration.
Public Relationships:

Provides marketing and logistical support for special events and outreach initiatives (open houses, physician events, public lectures, etc.)
