This role involves executing fundamental Medical Assistant responsibilities within a pediatric setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enhances unit operations by overseeing patient flow efficiently.
  • Assists with administrative tasks specific to the department, including patient scheduling, and collecting and verifying insurance information and other necessary documentation.
General Requirements
  • Performs additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program is required.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Effective communication skills with individuals from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds are essential.
  • Ability to manage changing work assignments efficiently.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) is preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing and walking.
  • Occasional sitting.
  • Frequent lifting and carrying of up to 50 lbs.
