Key Responsibilities of the QA Registered Nurse

  • Collaborate with the clinical management team on policy and procedure updates, current regulations, and compliance for hospice clinical services and operations.
  • Create an environment that supports professional development among staff through training and educational resources.
  • Provide educational sessions and in-services to hospice personnel to meet quality standards, agency policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in Clinical Management team meetings as needed.
  • Act as a resource for up-to-date information on national, state, or regional requirements, standards, and clinical practice guidelines.
  • Demonstrate ongoing professional development.
  • Access personal health information (PHI) as necessary to fulfill job responsibilities, with access and disclosure defined by organizational policies.

Minimum Qualifications for QA Registered Nurse (RN/LPN)

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program with a current Registered Nurse license in the state(s) of practice (Bachelor's Degree preferred).
  • A minimum of three years of nursing experience, with at least one year in hospice or home care preferred.
  • Significant experience and/or knowledge of performance improvement initiatives preferred.
