As a Civil Engineering Project Specialist, you will leverage your extensive knowledge of engineering principles to tackle a diverse range of assignments and related fields.

This role requires a registered professional engineer who will oversee and guide critical project objectives, address significant issues, and explore innovative concepts and policies.

The project specialist will supervise, coordinate, and evaluate the work of engineers or technicians while executing complex assignments that necessitate the development of new and enhanced techniques and procedures.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare planning and design documentation in the relevant engineering discipline.
  • Conduct process design calculations, develop cost estimates, and perform economic analyses for alternative comparisons.
  • Assist in formulating project scopes and schedules, including the completion of initiation paperwork and budget reviews.
  • Coordinate projects with other Olsson teams, manage design aspects, direct team members on design tasks, and maintain comprehensive project records.
  • Engage with clients, attend meetings, and communicate project progress and challenges to project managers.
  • Support marketing and business development efforts, including proposal writing.
  • May act as project manager for smaller-scale projects.
  • Independently manage assignments on complex projects.
  • Oversee the work of assistant and associate professionals and technical staff, potentially supervising student or technical personnel.
