Job Summary

The RN Clinical Nurse is a key member of our interdisciplinary team, providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes. As a registered nurse at Wellstar Health System, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Exemplary Practice and Outcomes
    • Perform the nursing process, using evidence-based practice and analytical thinking to ensure individualized care and coordinate care through effective partnerships.
    • Provide relationship-based patient-centered care, adapting service delivery to reflect an understanding of cultural diversity.
    • Partner with patients and significant others, using appropriate methods for setting and achieving goals.
    • Practice using current clinical practice standards, promoting a respectful and inclusive clinical environment.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration
    • Coordinate the delivery and documentation of safe quality patient care, promoting the professional care delivery model.
    • Demonstrate teamwork and collaboration, practicing in a manner that is fiscally responsible and promotes the recruitment and retention of healthcare team members.
    • Participate in performance improvement, research, and research utilization to promote safe, quality patient care.
  • Professional Development and Initiative
    • Complete initial and ongoing professional competency assessments, required mandatory education, and population-specific education.
    • Serve as a preceptor and/or mentor for other professional nurses, modeling the professional practice of nursing and creating a healthy work environment.
Requirements
  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Nursing, preferred.
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Georgia or multi-state compact.
  • Basic Life Support certification, or instructor status.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Provider certification, or instructor status.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification, or instructor status.

  • Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
  • Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
