As a Communications Technician I, you will play a key role in installing and maintaining our company's network infrastructure. Your primary responsibilities will include installing work area outlets, drop cables, and routing cables through modular furniture. You will also perform pre-termination procedures, including organizing, forming, and dressing cables, as well as determining length, slack, and labeling cables. Additionally, you will suspend and support cables correctly using cable trays, J-hooks, D-rings, bridal rings, and trapeze. You will also build closets, install grounding for racks and equipment, and perform fire-stopping procedures on fire walls. Furthermore, you will terminate low-voltage devices and complete all necessary paperwork accurately and on time. You will adhere to and participate in all company, customer, and industry quality and safety standards and regulations. You will also complete other responsibilities as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install work area outlets, drop cables, and route cables through modular furniture
  • Perform pre-termination procedures, including organizing, forming, and dressing cables
