Culinary Specialist

Job Summary:

Pyramid Healthcare is seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team. As a Culinary Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food in a timely, efficient, and sanitary manner. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook food according to established policies and procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Comply with food safety standards and guidelines during all phases of food handling.
• Adhere to portion control by using standardized recipes and proper utensils for measurement.
• Complete all required documentation, including food and equipment temperature logs.
• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and equipment, and return to proper storage areas as requested.
• Perform daily and/or scheduled cleaning tasks as assigned.
• Operate and clean equipment per department procedures; report needed maintenance and faulty equipment to supervisor immediately.

Requirements:

• Previous food preparation experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and the ability to operate kitchen equipment preferred.
• SERV-Safe certification or be willing to obtain upon hire.
