Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and conduct staff education, training, and competency evaluations
  • Oversee nursing competency assessments, including Point of Care testing and vital signs evaluation
  • Organize and execute training sessions related to clinical documentation and policies
  • Lead monthly meetings focused on Infection Control topics
  • Ensure adherence to infection control protocols, including sterilization processes
  • Collaborate clinically to mitigate infection control risks
  • Manage follow-ups for communicable disease exposures
  • Formulate, implement, and assess infection prevention and control strategies
  • Guarantee staff compliance with Fitness for Duty requirements
  • Ensure adherence to CPR training standards
  • Conduct FIT testing
  • Advocate for employee rights regarding access to health and safety measures
Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program
  • Valid and unrestricted RN license from the Connecticut Department of Public Health
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Reliable transportation for travel between sites and offsite training
