Job Description

As a key member of our dental team, the Dental Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and comfort.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing patients for dental procedures by explaining the treatment plan and answering any questions they may have.
  • Assisting dentists with various procedures, such as taking x-rays, preparing instruments, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Providing exceptional patient care by being attentive, empathetic, and professional at all times.
  • Recording patient information, including medical and dental histories, and vital signs.
  • Exposing dental x-rays and maintaining x-ray equipment.
  • Providing patients with information on oral health care, plaque control, and dental hygiene.
  • Collecting and recording medical and dental histories and patient vital signs.
  • Providing postoperative instructions as directed by the dentist.
  • Maintaining dental equipment and ordering supplies as needed.
  • Fabricating temporary restorations and custom impressions.
  • Assisting with infection control by sterilizing and disinfecting instruments and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements include:

  • Certification or associate degree in an accredited dental assistance program.
  • Dental x-ray and infection control certification.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Consistently professional appearance and attitude.
