Job Title: Web Release Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Web Release Engineer to join our team at Saxon Global. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating with development, quality assurance, and operations teams to plan and execute the release of web applications and updates.

Key Responsibilities:

* Coordinate with development, quality assurance, and operations teams to plan and execute the release of web applications and updates.
* Develop and maintain release processes, procedures, and documentation.
* Manage version control systems, including branching and merging strategies.
* Automate release and deployment tasks using relevant tools and technologies.
* Monitor and troubleshoot release-related issues, ensuring quick resolution and minimal disruption to services.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve release management practices and implement best practices.
* Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements during the release process.

Requirements:

* Previous experience in web release engineering, release management, or a related field.
* Strong understanding of web development concepts, technologies, and frameworks.
* Proficiency in version control systems, such as Git, and familiarity with branching and merging strategies.
* Experience with release automation tools and technologies, such as Jenkins, Travis CI, or similar.
* Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation tasks.
* Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex release-related issues.
* Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
* Attention to detail and a proactive approach to ensure the quality and reliability of web releases.

Preferred Skills:

* Python or any scripting language
* Jenkins or other release automation tools
* Git or other Version Control systems
