The Procurement Specialist will play a vital role in enhancing supply chain performance metrics in their designated area, focusing on key indicators such as WADPO, PPI, SLISC, and SRPPM. This position is essential for maintaining a reliable supply chain, which includes developing risk mitigation strategies and implementing dual sourcing initiatives.
Adherence to Parker's Code of Ethics, policies, and procedures is crucial, along with maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, assisting in bid assessments, cost evaluations, and supplier risk analysis.
- Support supplier negotiations for new purchases or modifications to existing orders.
- Prepare purchase orders and contracts for approval by the Division Sourcing & Procurement Manager.
- Facilitate and participate in supplier meetings to ensure alignment and communication.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform essential duties effectively. The following qualifications are essential:
- A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- Experience or exposure to supply chain principles and manufacturing processes through internships or training programs.
- Strong analytical and technical skills to assess business practices and identify automation opportunities.
- Intermediate computer proficiency and understanding of electronic processing.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
