Critical Care Nurse

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our TeleICU team. As a TeleICU RN, you will provide professional nursing care and support to critically ill patients throughout the region via audiovisual connection, telephone, and secured chatting platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, educate, and evaluate patient outcomes using critical thinking and communication skills.
- Identify patient care needs, risks, safety issues, educational opportunities, and appropriate health care referrals.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement safe and effective patient care plans.
- Utilize HD cameras and microphones to communicate 'face-to-face' with patients and care teams.
- Assume responsibility for remote nursing care and documentation.
- Provide individualized nursing care, recognize and take appropriate action for significant changes in patient conditions.
- Evaluate effectiveness of nursing care and make necessary modifications to assist with optimal patient outcomes.
- Establish relevant, evidence-based and safe nursing interventions and priorities when providing nursing care.
- Communicate patient status through verbal, electronic, and written means with other health care providers, and take appropriate action for patient well-being.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program required.
- BSN strongly preferred.
- 5 years of critical care nursing required.
- Experience with continuous renal replacement therapy required.
- Previous computer experience required.
- Proven organizational and multi-tasking abilities along with strong customer service skills that include excellent phone and video etiquette.
- Knowledge and skills sufficient to integrate the use of health care technology and/or information management systems into the provision of nursing care.
Required Licensure/Certifications:
- Registered nurse with NH and VT eligibility.
- Basic life support (BLS) required.
- Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) required.
- Specialty certification preferred.
- Membership in a professional organization preferred.
