Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist to join our team at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a critical role in ensuring safe and effective patient medication therapy.

Responsibilities
  • Review and process physician medication orders, ensuring appropriateness of dosage and use based on patient age, weight, and diagnosis.
  • Interact and participate with team members and other healthcare providers to provide safe and cost-effective drug therapy for assigned patient care teams.
  • Provide drug information to healthcare professionals and ensure rational medication use and continuous performance improvement throughout the healthcare system.
  • Supervise area(s) when in charge and serve as a preceptor to new employees and pharmacy practice residents/students.
  • Maintain individual competence and develop professional practice management skills.
Requirements
  • 1 year of experience in a hospital pharmacy.
  • PharmD (or equivalent experience) and graduation from an accredited pharmacy school.
  • Georgia licensed pharmacist or eligible.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment.
