Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Specialist Pharmacist to join our team at Emory Healthcare. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide patient-centered medication management and clinical expertise in the specialty area of Lymphoma Oncology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care activities, including medication therapy management and clinical interventions.
  • Monitor drug therapy regimens and perform daily in-depth patient profile reviews to assess, monitor, and recommend appropriate drug therapy.
  • Consistently evaluate, intervene, and document adverse drug reactions, medication variances, and clinical interventions beyond institutional protocols.
  • Prevent and/or resolve drug-related problems to ensure safety, efficacy, and cost-efficiency by consulting with the ordering prescriber and appropriately documenting.
  • Answer drug information questions with in-depth knowledge of research designs, methodologies, and biostatistics.
  • Oversee the work performed by pharmacy students, technicians, and pharmacists to ensure performance standards are maintained and work is in accordance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
  • Proactively review trends, recommend patient safety solutions in specialty, and process orders accurately and efficiently.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy.
  • ASHP-Accredited Post Graduate Year 1 and 2 Residency or Fellowship or equivalent experience in the specialty area.
  • Relevant Pharmacy Specialty Board certification is preferred.
  • Active Georgia Pharmacist license or eligibility for licensure with attempt to register for 60 days of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support is required within 1 year for all positions with Code Blue coverage responsibility.
