Job Summary

Montgomery Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, and implement individualized care plans.

Responsibilities
  • Administer medications and treatments to residents, documenting appropriately on assigned nursing units
  • Report findings of ongoing observations and assessments to Charge Nurses, Nursing Supervisors, and Unit Managers
  • Utilize knowledge of basic test and lab collection values to deliver direct resident care consistent with policies and procedures
  • Identify and respond timely to patient concerns and needs
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills to ensure quality patient care
  • Prepare resident assignments considering category of needs and competency of personnel
  • Monitor and evaluate the flow of activity and delivery of patient care provided
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing
  • Licensed and registered in good standing in New York State as an RN
  • Experience with geriatric patients desirable, but not required
  • Sincere desire to work with the elderly, chronically ill, and disabled
  • Possess a spirit of cooperation and enthusiasm to create an atmosphere conducive to rehabilitation and growth
  • Knowledge of medical, social, and psychological needs of residents, general nursing theory and practice, and infection prevention principles/methods
  • Ability to communicate well verbally with residents, families, and staff
