Symbiotic Corp. is seeking a highly skilled Cover Technician to join our Product Development team. As a Cover Technician, you will play a critical role in managing new styles, primary and secondary cover setups, and maintaining COM and cover categories in Oracle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage new styles, primary and secondary cover setups, and name and zone patterns during marker creation.
  • Maintain COM and cover categories in Oracle, resolving BOM Usage Errors.
  • Assign thread colors to covers and update information in Oracle.
  • Correct and manipulate current patterns and styles for errors/changes.
  • Set up and maintain style BOMs for primary and secondary materials.
  • Cut patterns for customer service and other projects.
  • Address special requests for customers.
  • Handle special projects related to cutting test cloths/leather and nesting.
  • Train and oversee the cutting of matched materials (match point).

Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience with pattern making and relevant software packages (Cut Works, AutoCAD, etc.).
  • 2 years of experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing principles and methods.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to perform other tasks and be cross-trained in Engineering processes.

Working Conditions:

The normal manufacturing environment conditions, including occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs., daily walking of one mile, and the use of safety equipment on the plant floor (closed-toe shoes, ear and eye protection as required).
