Position Overview:
As a vital member of our bar team, you will be responsible for the complete setup of the bar, expertly mixing and serving beverages, and ensuring the cleanliness of the bar area. Your role includes taking guest orders and processing their payments efficiently. Compliance with all relevant liquor laws is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean, productive, and safe bar environment by accomplishing daily tasks.
  • Support fellow bartenders to foster teamwork and unity in bar operations.
  • Uphold cleanliness standards in the front of the house to deliver high-quality products to guests.

  • Deliver exceptional guest service, consistently exceeding expectations as directed by management.
  • Report any unsafe conditions or practices in line with company policy.
  • Welcome and interact with guests in a friendly, professional manner to create memorable experiences.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of bar equipment, adhering to departmental SOPs.
  • Inspect equipment daily for cleanliness and report necessary repairs to the bar manager.
  • Manage time and productivity in your bar section according to business volume.
  • Execute additional duties as assigned.
  • Prepare and serve drinks to guests and cocktail servers following established guidelines and safety protocols.
  • Conduct all guest interactions in a timely, efficient, and professional manner.
  • Process guest checks, collect payments, and manage credits and room charges according to company procedures.
  • Complete liquor requisitions and supply lists as needed.
  • Understand and comply with state and city liquor laws.
  • Recognize when a guest has reached their limit and responsibly stop serving alcohol.
  • Engage with guests to enhance their experience.
  • Fulfill all other assigned responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  1. Ability to read, write, and speak basic English.
  2. Capable of applying basic multi-tasking skills to maintain a cohesive work environment.
  3. Ability to follow simple instructions and handle standardized situations.
  4. Physical capability to push, stand, stoop, bend, and lift items weighing up to 150 pounds throughout the shift.
  5. Exhibit a positive attitude and strong work ethic to achieve operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
  6. Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, for extended hours.
  7. Proficient in basic math skills for handling cash transactions.

General Duties:

  • Understand and comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in mandatory meetings and ongoing training sessions.
  • Stay informed about company and franchise updates.

Education:

  • High school diploma preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of three years of experience as a bartender in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Skills:

  • Ability to prepare drinks according to standard recipes.
  • Extensive knowledge of wines.
