Barista

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Barista position is accountable for crafting and serving a variety of beverages and food items to our guests. This role plays a vital part in the organization, acting as a collaborative partner dedicated to advancing the company's objectives, vision, mission, and values.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Expertly prepare all specialty coffee and tea beverages to meet established standards, delivering professional, friendly, and prompt service to guests;
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of coffee equipment, counters, and preparation areas while participating in ongoing service training;
• Ensure all necessary supplies are ready for each shift, including weekly inventory of coffee, tea, and other beverages;
• Responsible for the polishing of silverware and glassware;
• Perform additional tasks as assigned that may extend beyond the typical scope of duties based on business requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent is required;
• Ability to communicate effectively and comprehend the primary language(s) of our guests;
• Consistent punctuality and reliable attendance;
• Food Handlers Permit is required;
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays;
• Previous experience in a bar setting is preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to stand for extended periods and frequently move between areas. Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, and reach with hands and arms. Must be capable of carrying and balancing dishware and glassware during service. Regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
