Position: Coffee Specialist

OVERVIEW

The Coffee Specialist is accountable for crafting and serving a variety of beverages and food items to our guests. This position plays a vital role in supporting the organization’s objectives, vision, mission, and values.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Prepare a diverse range of specialty coffee and tea beverages to meet established standards, ensuring guests receive prompt, friendly, and professional service;
• Maintain cleanliness and functionality of coffee equipment and service areas, while engaging in continuous training on service standards;
• Ensure all necessary supplies are prepared for each shift, including weekly inventory of coffee, tea, and other beverages;
• Responsible for the polishing and upkeep of silverware and glassware;
• Perform additional tasks as assigned based on operational needs.

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent is required;
• Ability to communicate effectively and understand the primary language(s) of our guests;
• Consistent punctuality and reliable attendance;
• Food Handlers Permit is required;
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays;
• Previous experience in a bar or café setting is preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to stand for extended periods and move frequently throughout the work area. Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, and reach with hands and arms is necessary. Must be capable of carrying and balancing dishware and glassware during service. Regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
