HSE Training Specialist

Position Summary:
The HSE Training Specialist is tasked with overseeing the safety training requirements of the organization on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with HSE Specialists and the Operations team to onboard new employees and conduct annual refresher training sessions.
- Thrive in a dynamic work environment while managing multiple responsibilities.
- Prepare and disseminate training reports on a monthly basis or as required.
- Ensure meticulous record-keeping in both electronic and physical formats.
- Coordinate with the OQ & Training Manager for the scheduling and management of employee training programs.
- Support the organization and topics related to Safety Training.
- Assist the Director of OQ & Training with HSE department matters.
- Perform additional duties as necessary.
- Prior experience in training is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Experience in the pipeline sector or similar construction environments is preferred.
- Background in HSE-related fields is beneficial.
- High school diploma is required.
- Bi-lingual candidates are preferred.
- Proficient in computer applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Certifications in First Aid, CPR, and OSHA 500 are preferred.
Essential Skills:
- Ability to analyze issues and make informed decisions promptly in accordance with Strike's HSE standards.
- Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and a focus on quality.
- Comfortable speaking in front of groups of up to 20 individuals.
- Exhibits strong written and verbal communication skills along with effective listening abilities.
- Demonstrates a professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of working with diverse teams, vendors, and medical professionals.
- Physical demands include the capacity to engage in frequent physical activity, endure long working hours, and adapt to various outdoor conditions.
- Regularly required to sit, talk, and hear.
- Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, and perform bending or crouching movements.
- Occasionally lift and/or move items weighing up to 10 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
- Adherence to Strike's policies and procedures is mandatory.
- Compliance with Strike's Drug & Alcohol Policy, maintaining favorable drug testing results throughout employment.
- Commitment to performing job duties safely, respecting the safety of others and property.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others to foster teamwork and productivity.
- Eligibility to work in the United States is required.
