Job Title: Infant Teacher

At Primrose Schools, we are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Infant Teacher to join our team. As an Infant Teacher, you will play a vital role in helping young minds explore, discover, and understand the world around them.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a qualified and dedicated Infant Teacher to help plan and implement an ongoing program of activities that promote the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child, in accordance with the Primrose Balanced Learning approach to teaching and learning.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage a group of children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Implement the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule in accordance with the Primrose Balanced Learning curriculum and programming.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and attractive classroom environment that encourages children to create and explore.
  • Provide verbal recognition and acceptance to children while providing clear and consistent expectations for their behavior.
  • Assist in other capacities as determined by the Director or designee.
Requirements:
  • Meet the basic requirements of the local child care regulatory agency.
  • Previous teaching or assistant teaching experience in a licensed early childhood program is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
