Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Rhythm Specialist to join our team at Gateway Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our Intensive Care Unit, you will be responsible for monitoring cardiac rhythms and providing accurate assessments to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Continuous observation of cardiac rhythms with accurate assessment and documentation.
  • Complete evaluation and mounting of rhythm strips for each patient.
  • Provide written reports to nursing staff at the end of each shift.
  • Communicate promptly with nursing staff regarding any rhythm changes or life-threatening arrhythmias.
  • Organize the telemetry unit and report any equipment maintenance or repair needs.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an EKG course or post-test.
  • Prior Monitor Technician experience preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
