About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at the Oshman Family JCC Leslie Family Preschool. As a Preschool Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating and implementing engaging programs that promote learning and development in a licensed, Reggio-inspired, play-based, constructivist preschool program serving children ages 18 months to 5 years.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with our guiding principles and values
  • Provide a nurturing and inclusive environment that fosters social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective educational program
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure a smooth transition between home and school
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education
Requirements
  • 12 or more ECE units (AA and/or BA degree in ECE or related field & teacher permit preferred)
  • At least 1 year of experience working with children in a licensed child care/educational environment
  • Knowledge of Constructivist/Reggio Emilia Approach to teaching and learning desirable
  • Flexible and enthusiastic with a passion for working with young children
  • Friendly, warm, and nurturing with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and adapt to changing circumstances
