Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Speech Therapy Specialist to provide high-quality services to patients of all ages at CharterCARE Health Partners. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology and experience working with adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.

About the Role:
As a Speech Therapy Specialist, you will evaluate disorders of speech, articulation, fluency, voice, language, oral pharyngeal function or cognitive communicative function of patients. You will develop goals and treatment plans in conjunction with patients and families/significant others, execute treatment programs, and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers. You will also supervise Speech Language Pathology students and support staff.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must have a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program, passing score on the ASHA national exam, and a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association. Licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist from the Department of Health, Division of Professional Regulation, State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations is also required. One year of experience is preferred.

Responsibilities:
Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Evaluating patients' communication disorders
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans
  • Providing education to patients, families, and caregivers
  • Supervising Speech Language Pathology students and support staff

Working Conditions:
This position requires frequent standing, walking, balancing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Good visual and auditory acuity as well as good manual dexterity are required.

Compensation:
We offer a competitive salary of $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
