Accounting Clerk

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team at Hughes Resources. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing payroll, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Payroll: Process weekly payroll, prepare and submit tax reports, and maintain accurate records of employee information.
• Accounts Payable: Review and process vendor invoices, track and manage sub-consultant invoices, and maintain accurate records of payments.
• Accounts Receivable: Process client payments, prepare daily deposits, and maintain accurate records of client information.
• General Ledger: Post monthly entries, reconcile accounts, and maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
• Accounting Software: Maintain and update accounting software, including Deltek VantagePoint.
• Miscellaneous Duties: Perform various administrative tasks, including waivers of lien, annual employee benefits information, and verification of employment forms.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a similar role.
• High school diploma or equivalent, with a preference for a two- or four-year accounting degree.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to prioritize tasks.
• Good data entry skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with general accounting principles and a strong understanding of math and numbers.
