Job Summary

This position is responsible for performing invasive cardiovascular procedures to produce high-quality examinations in accordance with applicable standards, regulations, and licensing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lab preparation: Prepare and set up the Cath Lab for procedures, organizing sterile areas, instruments, and equipment in accordance with established procedures and departmental standards.
  • Procedure preparation and communication: Review patient, physician, and procedure requirements to assess setup, equipment, and supply needs, and communicate with the procedural team to ensure thorough preparedness.
  • Assists procedures and imaging: Perform diagnostic cardiology and electrophysiology procedures and imaging, determining proper radiologic technique and positioning to ensure optimal results.
  • Equipment maintenance: Perform regular equipment calibration and maintenance in accordance with established instructions, identifying and troubleshooting malfunctions to ensure continuous proper and safe operations.
  • Finalizing: Perform finalizing functions, including archival storage of images, patient radiographic data, and records in accordance with Cardiologist and departmental specifications.
  • Personal growth and competency: Maintain professional and technical competency through constant pursuit of knowledge and self-improvement, remaining apprised of current literature, practices, and new developments in diagnostic imaging and pediatric/congenital invasive cardiology and electrophysiology.
