Crop Protection Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Crop Protection Specialist to join our team at Wilbur-Ellis. As a key member of our crop protection team, you will be responsible for the safe and legal application of plant protection and fertilizer products to growers' fields.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Calculate product and carrier quantities and mix and apply plant protection and/or fertilizer products using various application equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations governing pesticide application.
  • Have a working knowledge of all application equipment and be able to accurately locate the application site.
  • Possess a Qualified Applicator's Certification license and attend all required safety training meetings.
  • Complete bi-annual medical exams and participate in a DOT random selection for drug and alcohol testing.
  • Be ready to work odd hours during peak season and travel to other branches, meeting locations, or customer farms.


Requirements:


  • Commercial driver's license with preferred endorsements for Haz-Mat and Tank vehicles or willingness to get.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to set priorities and communicate effectively with supervisors and growers.
  • Ability to work with a wide range of responsibilities and be detail-oriented.
  • Clean DMV record and ability to pass a background check.
