Design Engineer

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join their team. As a key member of the engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and developing new tooling, as well as supporting existing production processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop new tooling and fixtures using 3D CAD software
  • Create documentation for build and purchase materials and components
  • Program components for fabrication using 3D CAM software
  • Support fabrication practices and implement new cutter technology
  • Support assembly and implementation of tooling
  • Provide support for all other departments as needed
  • Problem-solve for production and maintenance, including setting up machines and checking parts in production
  • Work with outside vendors and answer questions from the sales department and product managers

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • Minimum two years' experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Preferred experience in metal tube fabrication and welded assemblies
  • Knowledge of engineering theory and manufacturing techniques
  • Familiarity with 3D CAD/CAM software, preferably Autodesk Inventor and Feature-CAM
