About the Role

Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team of dedicated caregivers. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety during surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and registered nurses in surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile field and ensuring quality patient care.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies, adhering to strict sterile protocols.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless execution of procedures, from setup to closure.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of best practices and protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, adhering to regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
Requirements
  • Completion of a surgical technology program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • One year of experience in an acute care operating room, with a strong understanding of sterile techniques and surgical procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
  • Two years of experience in a multi-disciplined OR in an acute care hospital setting, with a strong track record of quality patient care and teamwork.
