We are seeking a part-time Mental Health Technician to join our team at Monte Nido Glen Cove, a residential treatment program for adults struggling with eating disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Support clients in their recovery journey, providing a safe and non-judgmental space for growth and development.
- Implement treatment plans, providing interventions and support consistent with client needs.
- Facilitate healthy connections among clients and staff, promoting a positive and supportive milieu.
- Assist with food preparation and meal supervision, modeling healthy eating habits.
- Participate in therapeutic groups, developing core skills to enhance clinical growth and effectiveness.
- Conduct regular rounds and observations, providing valuable insights and feedback.
- Occasionally transport clients to off-site appointments and activities.
- At least 2 years of post-high school education; a Bachelor's degree in Psychology is preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a mental or behavioral health setting, with a valid state-issued Driver's License and a safe driving history.
- Excellent communication and client relations skills, with a service-oriented approach and flexibility to work as part of a team.
