Job Description

At Spring Health, we're seeking a highly skilled Eating Disorders Clinical Care Navigator to join our Care Navigation team. This role is a critical part of our mission to provide comprehensive mental health solutions for employers and health plans.

The Eating Disorders Clinical Care Navigator will provide initial assessment, support, referral, and ongoing care coordination for members within our innovative ED program. This includes telephonic screening, brief intervention, and referral of members to eating disorder treatment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Applying active listening, psycho-education, and motivational interviewing skills to understand each member's needs and provide support as they set goals.
  • Utilizing a team-based philosophy in ED treatment, Motivational Interviewing to assist members in engaging in care, and identifying an appropriate level of care, facilitating referral, and coordinating care with a Spring Health provider.
  • Providing consultation regarding mental health concerns and family/relationship issues, as appropriate to member needs.
  • As necessary, providing in-the-moment support and safety planning for members with safety, risks, or crisis.
  • Utilizing written communication skills to interact with members and providers through email.
  • Documenting information, maintaining accurate records, performing follow-ups, and tracking progress within several systems, including an EHR within required timeframes.
  • Identifying and problem-solving issues that serve as a barrier or disruption to care.
  • Interacting with multi-disciplinary teams such as care support, provider operations, and benefits/billing to ensure a smooth member experience.
  • Participating in staff meetings, case consultations, and trainings.
  • Assisting with onboarding and mentoring new team members.
  • Providing feedback on product and program operations and assisting with implementing program improvements.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2+ years of clinical care experience working with Eating Disorders (ED), experience with Motivational Interviewing, diagnostic assessment, and triage, and knowledge of current best practices and evidence-based treatments for ED.
