Position Summary
The

Certified Surgical Technician

works closely with the surgical team and under the guidance of the Registered Nurse, taking responsibility for the safety and care of patients during surgical procedures. This role involves:
  • Preparing and managing surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
  • Maintaining a sterile environment during operations.
  • Conducting counts of instruments and supplies before and after procedures.
  • Assisting with patient positioning and transportation.
  • Cleaning and preparing instruments for sterilization.
  • Preparing the operating room for subsequent patients.

Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:
  • A degree from an accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent military training.
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Preferred experience of one to two years in an operating room setting.
  • Willingness to provide on-call coverage as needed.

This full-time role requires working hours on the evening shift, with rotating on-call responsibilities.
