Position Overview

The Operations Supervisor will report to the Warehouse Manager and will assist in the daily functions of our Soft Goods sector within a large-scale distribution center. The Operations Supervisor will guide the efforts of their specialized team of Associates, ensuring smooth operations, providing support and oversight in their designated area, and upholding high standards of safety and effective communication at all times.

The ideal candidate possesses a minimum of 1 year of demonstrated experience in warehouse operations and is prepared to embrace additional responsibilities. This individual will receive training across all facets of soft goods, including order fulfillment, inventory receiving, product returns, wholesale operations, stock replenishment, inventory audits, and quality assurance. A strong desire and capability to resolve issues is essential. The candidate should thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure environment and take pleasure in creating efficient workflows while leading their team towards success in a constructive atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of committed associates; allocate and monitor daily output
    Report daily performance metrics to management as required
    Oversee inventory levels for order fulfillment and restock as necessary
    Address issues with receiving technology and maintain equipment such as tablets and scanners
    Act as a resource for the soft goods receiving and fulfillment team
    Collaborate with the Fulfillment and Receiving Supervisor to enhance efficiency across all Soft Goods operations
    Assist in training, mentoring, and providing continuous feedback
    Communicate challenges and updates to management promptly
    Manage the relocation of bulk items, restock picking zones, and supervise container unloading
    Serve as an alternate for the Fulfillment and Receiving Supervisor or any lead role
    Ensure a safe and organized work environment

Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of experience operating forklifts
    Bilingual in English and Spanish
    Proficient in computer operations, including email and warehouse management systems
    Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey instructions clearly in both verbal and written formats
    Strong problem-solving abilities when challenges arise
    Ability to maintain composure and professionalism under pressure or tight deadlines
    Capable of multitasking and effectively prioritizing tasks
