Landscape Maintenance Specialist

Renditions Golf Course is seeking dedicated individuals to enhance our grounds maintenance team for the upcoming season. This picturesque golf course, known for its replicas of renowned championship holes, provides a unique experience for golf lovers.

Position Summary

The role involves executing daily maintenance tasks for the golf course and its surroundings, ensuring a pristine environment for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

The primary duties include, but are not limited to:

1. Operating mowing machinery to maintain greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and other areas.
2. Conducting bunker upkeep, including raking, sand movement, and weed control.
3. Maintaining the edges around trees, bunkers, paths, and signage.
4. Installing and caring for landscaping plants and performing related tasks.
5. Assisting in the upkeep and repair of irrigation systems.
6. Preparing the golf course for play, including tasks like cup cutting and debris removal.
7. Cleaning and storing equipment post-use, ensuring proper maintenance and reporting issues promptly.
8. Understanding equipment functionality for optimal performance and longevity.
9. Adhering to golf course etiquette and maintaining a friendly demeanor with guests and team members.
10. Complying with safety protocols and demonstrating a commitment to a safe working environment.
11. Exhibiting a service-oriented attitude and fostering positive interactions with all staff and guests.
12. Completing additional tasks as directed by management.
13. Maintaining regular attendance for all scheduled shifts.

Work Environment

Work hours may vary, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Employees may be exposed to various environmental conditions and must adhere to safety guidelines to mitigate risks.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

1. Experience operating mowers, sand rakes, power tools, and other maintenance equipment.
2. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
3. Mechanical skills and aptitude.
4. Capability to comprehend both verbal and written directives.

Education and Experience

1. A high school diploma or GED is required.
2. Prior experience in golf course maintenance is preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Visual and auditory abilities to read documents and communicate effectively.
• Physical stamina for standing and walking throughout the workday.
• Ability to perform tasks involving climbing, stooping, and kneeling.
• Manual dexterity for operating tools and equipment.
• Capability to lift objects exceeding 50 pounds.
