Landscape Maintenance Specialist

Renditions Golf Course is seeking dedicated individuals to enhance our grounds maintenance team for the upcoming season. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the beauty and functionality of our golf course, ensuring an exceptional experience for all visitors.

Position Summary

The primary responsibility of this role is to carry out daily maintenance tasks on the golf course and surrounding areas, as well as assist in various project implementations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operate mowing machinery to maintain greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and bunkers.
2. Conduct bunker upkeep, including sand raking and weeding.
3. Maintain the landscape around trees, bunkers, paths, and signage.
4. Install and care for landscaping plants and perform related duties.
5. Assist in the upkeep and repair of irrigation systems.
6. Prepare the golf course for play, including tasks such as cup cutting, divot filling, and debris removal.
7. Clean and maintain equipment after use, ensuring proper lubrication and reporting any issues.
8. Understand and implement best practices for equipment maintenance.
9. Adhere to golf course etiquette and safety protocols.
10. Exhibit professionalism and courtesy towards guests and team members.
11. Follow safety guidelines diligently to prevent accidents and injuries.
12. Demonstrate commitment to the club's success through positive interactions and quality service.
13. Complete additional tasks as directed by management.
14. Maintain regular attendance for all scheduled shifts.

Work Environment

Work hours may vary, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. The role involves exposure to various environmental conditions and requires adherence to safety practices to mitigate risks associated with the work.

Qualifications

1. Ability to operate mowers, sand rakes, power tools, and hand tools safely and effectively.
2. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
3. Mechanical aptitude is preferred.
4. Ability to comprehend both verbal and written directions.

Education and Experience

1. High School Diploma or GED is required.
2. Previous experience in golf course maintenance is advantageous.

Physical Requirements

• Visual and auditory skills for reading documents and communicating effectively.
• Physical stamina for standing and walking for extended periods.
• Ability to perform tasks involving climbing, stooping, and kneeling.
• Manual dexterity for operating equipment and tools.
• Capability to lift weights exceeding 50 pounds.
