Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor patient care plans to ensure effective and timely care.
- Monitor and record patient condition, communicating with the healthcare team as necessary.
- Evaluate and update patient care plans to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes.
- Coordinate patient care with members of the healthcare team to ensure well-coordinated care.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing protocol.
- Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, considering cultural and special concerns.
Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing, with a BSN preferred.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) upon hire.
- Additional certifications may be required depending on the specific work setting.
Work Environment:
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Physical Requirements:
- Requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
