Position Overview
The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency of the hotel. This position involves assisting the Lead Maintenance Technician in executing repairs and performing preventative maintenance tasks to uphold the hotel's maintenance quality standards. Exceptional guest service is paramount, and all interactions should reflect the standards of friendly hospitality established by LBA Hospitality.

Essential Qualifications
Maintenance associates are entrusted with access to guest rooms and hotel property, thus integrity and reliability are vital traits for this role. Candidates must successfully pass the required security clearance as per company policy.
  • Proficient understanding of electrical systems, air conditioning, and plumbing, along with knowledge of preventative maintenance practices.
  • High School diploma or equivalent education.
Key Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Technician is to ensure that all mechanical systems within the hotel are functioning optimally while adhering to the preventative maintenance protocols established by the company.

Must be capable of performing essential physical activities, including:
  • Ability to push or pull up to 100 pounds and lift or carry up to 60 pounds.
  • Standing for extended periods, bending, stretching, reaching, climbing ladders, crawling, kneeling, and working at ground level as needed.
  • Visual and auditory capabilities to perform job functions.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous.
  • Ability to comprehend and execute both verbal and written instructions.
  • Exhibit professionalism, honesty, and integrity consistently.
Required Skills and Knowledge
Familiarity with:
  • Methods, practices, tools, equipment, and materials utilized in various building and mechanical trades.
  • Occupational hazards associated with power tools and equipment, along with necessary safety precautions.
  • Repair and maintenance of hotel furniture and fixtures.
  • Safety and security protocols; immediate reporting or rectification of any hazardous conditions observed.
  • Guidelines for training checklists related to maintenance areas.
Skills:

  • Proper use and maintenance of hand and power tools relevant to assigned tasks.
