This role is responsible for spearheading the implementation, coordination, and sustainment of programs and championing initiatives to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish and maintain health and safety procedures in accordance with local, national, and international requirements and regulations.
- Direct and delegate compliance reviews, general risk assessments, and other safety assessments to identify effective controls and risk mitigation strategies in support of environmental, health, and safety management.
- Manage the procurement, proper use, maintenance, and inspection of necessary safety and personal protective equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
- Develop and deliver training programs and delegate presentations to ensure employees are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their jobs safely.
- Oversee detailed incident investigation teams to determine root cause, corrective, and preventive actions to prevent future incidents.
- Establish and manage local ergonomic, injury case management, and return-to-work programs to promote a culture of safety and well-being.
- Partner with site leadership to develop a culture that identifies health and safety opportunities and documents those for trends and predictive analysis and alignment with environmental, health, and safety management systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the organization.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field, such as environmental science, occupational health and safety, or a related field. May consider equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
- 6+ years of EH&S experience, including leadership experience, with a proven track record of success in implementing and maintaining health and safety programs.
- Experience with data analysis and computer programs to support EH&S management.
