Description of the Role


The Part-time Faculty member will be working in close association with the Academic and Clinical Faculty. This position involves teaching, clinical year student document reviewing, advisement, and admissions. The faculty member will work 8 hours per week, with a weekly on-site presence required unless otherwise specified and approved.

Responsibilities
Teaching

The faculty member will instruct first year, second year, and culminating year students in the following:



  • Physical Diagnosis Lab Instructor
  • Clinical Correlations/Clinical Skills Instructor
  • Instructor-Procedures
  • Lecturing in area of expertise and other designated courses

Clinical Year Student Document Reviewer

The faculty member will review SOAP notes and other documents for clinical year students throughout all semesters.


Advisement

The faculty member will provide advisement to first year, second year, and culminating year students throughout all semesters.


Masters Capstone Advisor

The faculty member will review and grade masters capstone submissions.


Admissions

The faculty member will participate in the admissions process, reviewing prospective applicants and conducting interviews.


Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:



  • NCCPA Board Certified
  • Valid license to practice as a Physician Assistant
  • Masters degree or Masters eligible required
  • Bachelor of Science from an accredited Physician Assistant Program

The candidate must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks with high levels of urgency or sensitivity, as well as work collaboratively with colleagues in a team environment.



Compensation
The estimated annual salary for this position is between USD $20,000.00/Yr. and USD $25,000.00/Yr.

Location
The position is located in New York, with a weekly on-site presence required unless otherwise specified and approved.
