Job Title: Adjunct, Anatomy

Overview:

Touro University New York seeks an experienced medical educator to teach Anatomy and Neuroanatomy to first year medical students on the Middletown, NY campus. Our faculty use an innovative flipped classroom approach to delivering the curriculum, and students in the human anatomy lab learn through a combination of classical cadaver dissection, the study of plastinated models, and a custom designed holographic 3-D anatomy system.

Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the assessment of student performance through appropriate examination methods as assigned.
  • Promote a positive and supportive atmosphere for student education and be responsive to students' needs.
  • Serve on Touro University New York committees as assigned.
  • Advise and mentor students.
  • Participate in medical student admission interviews.
Qualifications:
  • Applicants must have at least a Master's degree in Anatomy or a related field.
  • A PhD, DO, or MD degree is preferred.
  • Exceptional teaching experience at the medical school level in the areas mentioned in the job responsibilities section, experience designing anatomy and neuroanatomy instructional materials, and the ability to work well with the rest of the faculty team.
