About the Role:
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is a vital member of our team at Baptist Health Care, responsible for ensuring the safe and effective administration of radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic studies. Under the direction of licensed physicians, this role involves ordering, preparing, and measuring radiopharmaceuticals, as well as performing and assisting with nuclear medicine studies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement medical plans of care and procedures as necessary for patient care.
- Set up, adjust, and safely operate nuclear cameras and related computers.
- Prepare radioactive isotopes for administration to patients.
- Follow recommended guidelines of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) A.L.A.R.A. program.
- Perform various clerical duties.
- Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.
- Associates Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology Required or Bachelor's Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology Required.
- Certified Radiology Technologist Licensed State of Florida Upon Hire Required.
- Radiation Safety (NMRS_NMTCB) Upon Hire Required or Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology (RTN) ARRT Upon Hire Required.
- BLS for Healthcare Providers (BLS) Upon Hire Required.
