Role of the Financial Aid Specialist

The Financial Aid Specialist is responsible for developing and executing a financial aid strategy that aligns with the values of Paul Mitchell Schools, facilitating the admissions process, and providing exceptional service to our Future Professionals. This essential role involves preparing all necessary documentation related to grants and loans, as well as advising students and their families on financial aid eligibility and requirements. Regular audits of financial records for compliance with documentation standards are also a key responsibility. The Specialist must stay informed about current regulations governing the confidentiality of student information.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will possess the ability to interpret and adhere to federal, state, and institutional financial aid regulations. They will provide support for various operational functions, including generating reports and conducting basic needs assessments. Integrity, ethical conduct, and a commitment to confidentiality are crucial, as the role involves handling sensitive financial information. The ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain an organized workspace, and lead a team effectively in a dynamic environment is essential.
