Job Title: Assistant Warehouse Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Warehouse Supervisor to join our team at Western Sugar Cooperative. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the direction and coordination of shipping operations in our Scottsbluff facility, as well as our terminals located in Bayard, Western Valley, Gering, and Mitchell.

Key Responsibilities:

* Be detail-oriented with the ability to scrutinize all documents before, during, and after each customer load (bulk car, bulk truck, or semi-load) to ensure that customers receive the highest quality product.
* Determine package sugar inventory, pallets, totes, etc.
* Must have knowledge of and adherence to GMPs, including the understanding of the direct link between food safety and customer satisfaction.
* Be able to track, release, and divert railcars and be able to track coal usage.
* Provide leadership for Warehouse personnel to achieve continuous improvement and alignment with the Cooperative's vision, mission, values, and objectives.
* Drive employee engagement, training, and development to maximize safety, quality, and performance and ensure all quality standards, specifications, and policies are met or exceeded.
* Provide supervision and assist with ownership of bulk loading and rail operations at Scottsbluff.
* Provide direct oversight for the warehouse and bulk load areas, including delivery, maintenance, quality, safety, inventory management, scheduling, and operation.
* Ensure a clean and dust-free work environment.
* Pick, post, and close bulk and rail orders at Scottsbluff.
* Record and submit bin measurement data on a weekly basis.
* Create work orders for maintenance as needed.
* Support projects, working with vendors, receiving quotes, etc.
* Oversee mobile equipment management at Scottsbluff and terminal locations in Nebraska.
* Order pallets and other materials as required.
* Develop and manage a dock inspection program alongside safety management.
* Assist in payroll administration needs for the team.

Requirements:

* Strong preference for a candidate bilingual in English and Spanish.
* High school diploma or GED is a requirement.
* 2-3 years leadership experience preferred.
* Be a safety leader with solid safety behaviors and demonstrated leadership.
* Must have strong written and verbal communication and math skills.
* Must have strong computer skills, including email applications, Microsoft Word, Excel, and working knowledge of SAP.
* Must have proven organizational skills and the ability to multi-task, controlling the minute-by-minute demands, while meeting customer requirements, cross-town loads, inventory details, etc.
* Strong customer focus mind-set.
* Solid leadership and influencing skills.
* Friendly, results-oriented, and collaborative.

Working Relationship:

* Report to the Terminal/Warehouse Manager.

Position Type: Non-Union Status: Non-Exempt Location: Scottsbluff, Nebraska Benefits: Medical, Vision, Dental, LTD, Life Insurance, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), 401K with match opportunity, and the Company also contributes an additional 6% discretionary amount into each employee's 401(k) at the end of the calendar year.
