Job Summary

We're seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Pet Host to join our team. As a Pet Host, you'll be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless experience for our pet parents.

Responsibilities
  • Provide top-notch customer service, responding to guest inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Manage check-in and check-out processes, ensuring accurate and efficient handling of guest information.
  • Make boarding reservations and temperament test appointments, as well as schedule daycare reservations as needed.
  • Process cash, check, and credit card transactions, and reconcile reports.
  • Develop strong relationships with our guests, learning their pet's names and preferences to provide personalized service.
  • Obtain and input accurate information about each pet's visit, including client and pet information.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure seamless communication and resolution of guest needs.
  • Stay up-to-date on all services offered at our resort and provide solutions to meet our guests' needs.
  • Assist in managing waitlists during peak periods and ensure maximum room utilization.
  • Act as a liaison between veterinarians and guests, keeping all parties informed of ongoing issues.
  • Respond promptly to customer relations issues and address any uncomfortable situations with tact and diplomacy.
Requirements
  • Passion for animals and animal care, with a willingness to learn about animal behavior and safety.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to handle difficult or emotional situations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests, staff, and veterinarians.
  • Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to handle dogs of all sizes and lift up to 60 pounds.
