Electro-Mechanical Assembler Job Description

Volt is seeking a skilled Electro-Mechanical Assembler to join our team in Lake Forest, CA. As an Electro-Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for building electronic assemblies and sub-assemblies from component parts, adhering to company operating procedures and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Completing tasks to build electronic assemblies and sub-assemblies from component parts
  • Adhering to all company operating procedures and quality requirements
  • Performing surface-mount and through-hole soldering on printed circuit boards
  • Trimming, clipping, crimping, and tinning of wires and leads
  • Fabricating, testing, and troubleshooting electrical cables, harnessed, and electronic components and assemblies for high reliability integration
  • Assembling, fabricating, and inspecting complex box builds
  • Installing, mounting, fastening, aligning, and adjusting parts, components, wiring, and harnesses to sub-assemblies and assemblies using hand and small power tools
Requirements:
  • IPC-A-610 and JSTD-001 preferred
  • Degree from an accredited High School
  • Experience with soldering irons, hot air equipment, microscopes, electronic multi-meter, screw gun, and standard assembly tools
  • Able to pass a skills test
