Job Title: Controls Technician

At Dynacast, LLC, we are seeking a skilled Controls Technician to support our manufacturing facility's electrical control systems, equipment, and machinery. This role is responsible for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with mechanical assembly, computer control, sensors, actuators, and other robotic equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the maintenance and repair of electrical control systems, equipment, and machinery
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues with mechanical assembly, computer control, sensors, actuators, and other robotic equipment
  • Program and troubleshoot PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers)
  • Program automated cells and vision systems
  • Service, repair, and maintain instrumentation, electrical, and process controls
  • Write, review, and provide input to engineering specifications for new and existing equipment
  • Integrate automation, including robots and vision systems, into die casting cells
Requirements:
  • Associate degree in Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Automation role, with a minimum of 4 years in an electro-mechanical automated/robotic equipment environment
  • Experience with PLC logic programming and corresponding hardware
  • Experience with camera inspection systems (Keyence) and industrial robots (Fanuc, ABB)
  • Understanding of general construction of an electrical and controls cabinet
  • Ability to work off-shift
